There are
many
reasons why you
would need
to have someone look at your computer. We have repaired most of the
problems that could come up.
- Your
computer
starts
running slow and locking up. (Good indication of a virus or spyware)
- Starting to
see a
lot of
popups (Again virus or spyware)
- Computer is
dead
(Possible power supply or main board)
- Won't dial
in to
the
internet (could be the modem or a setting)
- Can't
network two
computers (Could be a lot of reasons, network card, settings etc.)
The
above
list is only a small sample of
possibilities. There are many more, hard drive problems, memory
problems, software problems and the list goes on. We have always had a
good relationship with the people we do work for and we are proud of
that. We try to do the best job we can and would rather do a little
extra to be sure it's right. Our rates for in the shop repairs is
$35.00 per hour for in shop service. We will call you and let you know
what your machine needs before we repair it unless it doesn't need any
parts so the bill would be minimal. We also do upgrades and will give
you the most honest answers we can about the cost and whether it is
cost effective to do that particular upgrade.
A typical repair would
consist of 1)
any parts
that may need to be replaced. 2)
Evaluate your
hard drive space and talk with you to see if you need a larger hard
drive if you are low on space or if we need to remove things to free up
space. 3)
Scan for
viruses and spyware and either install or update
spybot , adaware , evaluate your anti virus software and discuss your
options with you. 4)
Do
the normal maintenance which includes any windows update you may need,
running
scandisk and defrag. 5)
Cleaning the machine. You will be informed of
anything that requires your input and your questions and concerns will
be addressed. |
